  20. As I've pointed out a week or two ago, I migrated into the PC world. 
  21. Thinking there as an NT version of LHA, I happily compressed 300MB+ worth of
  22. objects, textures, and mailing list/newsgroup message archives and
  23. transferred them to my new PC and then sold off all my Amigas.  To my
  24. horror, there WAS no LHA for NT specifically and the DOS LHA truncated all
  25. the darn filenames.

  27. Welp!  Two C++ compilers later (Visual C++'s preprocessor parsing ain't that
  28. hot nor are its error codes.  Symantec's C++ is a LOT better!) and lots of
  29. lost hair and sleep later, I have successfully compiled the Unix LHA as a
  30. Win32 console app and the darn thing actually worked!  I've managed to
  31. decompress a few of the files for test purposes and the files look good.
  32. Though the rest of the LHA functionality might not be there, all I needed
  33. was extraction.  :)

  35. SO!  Hopefully by the end of this weekend, I will be caught up with all the
  36. message archives (both mailing lists and newsgroup) and send them to
  37. tomahawk (new new home for the files thanks to Keith) and I can get back to
  38. abnormal!

  41. Who's looked at bizarre code before but the Unix LHA code was one bizarre
  42. puppy!
